Since 2007, McKinley has worked with the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) in various capacities including successfully developing and rolling out a new membership and dues structure, brand awareness research, a member needs assessment and most recently, a products and benefits evaluation.
Membership and Dues Structure
SEPA sought McKinley’s expertise to conduct comprehensive research to create a new and improved membership and dues structure. This project included benchmarking other effective association practices and engaging primary contacts at member companies through survey research and telephone interviews to understand the member experience and perceptions of the value. Our resulting recommended membership and dues structure has been a success.
McKinley conducted an association-wide assessment to evaluate and prioritize SEPA’s existing products and services. Our work is empowering SEPA to systematically evaluate all its offerings and SEPA now has the tools to make hard decisions—which programs to build upon, phase out and eliminate offerings while taking into consideration the macroeconomic environment of the solar electric field.
