Karina Pineda, M.S.
As an associate consultant, Karina supports her team and clients with project management and strategy solutions that empower associations to succeed. She works on projects that focus on DEI, governance, strategic planning and benchmarking.
Karina’s background spans experience in higher education research and policy, including for the American Council on Education, and for her alma mater, the University of South Florida, where she helped inform its strategic planning efforts. She also has clinical experience providing mental health services as a psychometrist and outpatient case manager. Karina earned her M.S. in public health, with a concentration in education, and her B.A. in psychology, with a minor in sociology, from the University of South Florida.
She finds inspiration in helping organizations best serve their mission and improve the services they provide to the community. Guided by her social justice core, Karina is sensitive to how decisions made by associations impact different constituent groups—and how those decisions connect directly to organizations’ overall missions. An innate researcher, she evaluates challenges from a critical, data-driven lens.
Outside of work, she spends time enjoying nature, as well as exercising, watching true crime docuseries, and acting as a wannabe food critic.
