McKinley Advisors President and CEO Jay Younger to Receive the 2024 Association Partner of the Year Award from Association TRENDS and CEO Update

Washington, D.C. — Jay Younger, FASAE, President and CEO of McKinley Advisors, has been selected to receive the 2024 Association Partner of the Year Award and will be recognized at the Salute to Association Excellence hosted by Association TRENDS and CEO Update.

The Salute to Association Excellence will occur in Washington, DC, on February 27, 2024. In its 44th year, the Salute to Association Excellence celebrates the contributions of professionals in the association industry. The Association Partner of the Year Award recognizes an individual in the corporate space who is considered a trusted advisor and champion of the association industry and actively involved in the community.

“I am profoundly honored to receive the Association Partner of the Year Award. It is a joy to have the opportunity to support the vibrant and dynamic association industry and be part of this remarkable community. I am so grateful for the chance to work alongside our dedicated team at McKinley to contribute to the growth and impact of associations,” said Younger.

Mark Dorsey, FASAE, CAE, CEO of the Construction Specifications Institute, nominated Younger for the 2024 Association Partner of the Year Award.

“From my vantage point, I've engaged Jay and his firm for strategic planning, advisory work, and retooling volunteer structures that profoundly impacted the two associations I've worked for. McKinley is well known for delivering exceptional outcomes to its clients and has been at the forefront of giving back to the association community through unique contributions to our industry's body of knowledge. Jay's visible leadership to this commitment is among the reasons that McKinley has been named as the Best Place to Work by the Washington Business Journal for the last two consecutive years,” said Dorsey.

During his 25-year tenure with McKinley Advisors, Younger has become widely known in the association industry as an expert in strategic planning, governance, research and organizational development. Jay was named an ASAE Fellow in 2007 and served on the ASAE Business Services Board for seven years, including a year as chair in 2019-2020. He and his wife, Jennifer, are also active volunteers with the Children's Hospital Foundation in Washington.

“Jay advises association CEOs and Boards on their most mission-critical issues and has experience advising associations in virtually every sector of the economy and society. He is often sought out by CEO Update and other industry publications for his perspective on association governance, strategy and research. Jay is a steadfast champion of diversity, equity and inclusion in the association sector and in his leadership role at McKinley, which has among the most transparent and robust commitments to DEI in our industry,” said Dorsey.
