Tim Hopkins

As a senior consultant, Tim plays an essential role in helping our association clients reach new heights and overcome challenges to move their missions and visions forward. An innovator of unique solutions, he excels at driving experimentation, execution and forward-thinking to achieve organizational goals and deliver desired outcomes.

Tim joined McKinley with over 15 years of experience leading digital transformations for mission-driven organizations. As a highly skilled strategist with a focus on culture, change management, inclusiveness and world-class user experiences, he has supported and enabled organizational efficiencies, revenue growth, and member engagement.

Prior to joining the team, he launched and led the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Diversity Executive Leadership Program (iDELP) to foster diversity and inclusion across the Fire-EMS service, as well as IAFC’s national and association leadership. Giving a voice to underrepresented leaders and celebrating the strengths individuals bring to the table is an area Tim is passionate about, and he believes this is a differentiator between good and great organizations.

Tim is active in the association community, serving on the ASAE Technology Professionals Advisory Council, as well as conference proposal review boards, and speaking and facilitating several events, including the audience favorite Fail Fest at the ASAE Technology Exploration Conference.

Tim has a bachelor’s degree in Information Science from Christopher Newport University. Outside of the office, you can find him watching sports and cheering on the Liverpool Football Club or traveling the globe — with some of his favorite places including Sarajevo, Bosnia; Cape Town, South Africa; and Barcelona, Spain.
