Kanika Pulliam, PhD

In her role as a business consultant, Kanika Pulliam supports business transformation projects that are focused on business planning, revenue optimization and membership modeling. She leads analytics projects and supports clients by providing insights and effective practices that help to answer organizational questions and address challenges.

Kanika brings eight years of association management experience. She was recently the Director of Career Programs and Workforce Diversity at the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG). In this role, she led high-performing teams in developing and implementing strategic plans, managing through change, expanding revenue resources internally and externally through partnerships, increasing member value through resources and programming, and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the scientific workforce.

She has been involved with education and professional development programming, public engagement with K-12 audiences and undergraduate faculty, digital programming, event management and volunteer management in the association space.

Kanika received her bachelor’s of science degree in Biochemistry from Spelman College and a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Emory University. Outside of work, Kanika enjoys strength training, yoga, hiking, completing 500+ puzzle pieces and a new hobby of gardening.
